The Knowledge Worker’s Problem

(That’s About to Change)

Hi friend,

I was up late last night, thinking about something that has been on my mind all week.

We talk a lot about automation. About leveraging tools. About working smarter.

But here’s the reality most knowledge workers face:

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴. (𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘄)

You work in organizations with procedures. Required tools. Approval workflows. Systems that were built 10 years ago and haven’t changed.

You don’t get to redesign the process. You have to follow it.

So even when you know a better way exists, even when you see exactly how something could be automated, you still end up doing it manually.

Copying data between systems. Filling out forms. Following up on requests. Doing the same repetitive tasks that could be handled by a simple workflow.

It’s not just time-consuming. It’s mentally draining. And because we’re human, we make mistakes.

But I think this is about to change.

Not tomorrow. Maybe not even next year. But it’s coming.

Companies, organizations, and even governments are starting to realize that knowledge workers shouldn’t spend half their time on tasks that can be automated with a button.

No-code tools. Low-code automations. Agentic workflows. RPA.

These aren’t just buzzwords anymore. They’re becoming the way forward.

And in a few years, I believe knowledge workers will finally be free from the chunks of manual work that currently eat up their days.
